Three Great Reasons to Head Out This Friday in Cambridge

Friday, October 23 is shaping up to be a busy day in Cambridge — here's what's on: **Poppy Flag-Raising at City Hall** Cambridge's Royal Canadian Legion branches will hold a poppy flag-raising ceremony at city hall at 2 p.m. It's a chance to honour those who've served. **Pink in the Rink Hockey** The Cambridge Rivulettes will take on the OHA Mavericks at Preston Memorial Auditorium at 7 p.m. Come cheer on the home team and support a great cause. **Fibreworks 2026 Exhibition** If you haven't seen it yet, the Cambridge Public Library's Queen's Square branch is hosting *Fibreworks 2026*, an exhibition of work by 10 Canadian textile artists. It runs through November 8, so you've got time to visit. Textiles, weaving, and fibre art — it's beautiful stuff to see in person. Something for everyone this week!
